Dr. Ester Toribio-Roura (Marie-Curie Post Doc)
Bio

Ester Toribio-Roura. Graduated  in Social Psychology (Autonomous University of Barcelona) Ester holds a Phd in Philosophy (Dublin City University) and a MPhil in Visual Culture (Trinity College Dublin). She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media. Ester is interested in how citizens’ needs and expectations are met by top-down designs. Her preferred methods of investigation and areas of expertise are ethnography and arts-based inquiry. She works in “grounded fiction” (an original approach to narrative analysis) and critical cartographies of the everyday. Experienced graphic artist, Ester specialises in Medieval iconography and cartography. She has worked for several animation and film production companies including Octagon, MGM and History Channel. She is currently assisting in the coordination of the Marie Sklodowska Curie RISE Real Smart Cities and the European Culture and Technology Lab, both led by Prof. Noel Fitzpatrick at Tu Dublin. She has recently completed residencies at the Institute for Research and Innovation at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and at the University of Arts in Guayaquil, Ecuador and Galapagos Islands.  Website: www.ester-t-roura.com
